Katherina (“Katrina”) is a strategic business and community leader with a passion for helping people and organizations accelerate their potential. She has held a variety of senior leadership roles at technology companies such as Boeing and 3M, and she came to Utah in 1999 to serve as the Chief Information Officer at Evans & Sutherland. Katherina’s most recent role has been Chief Operations Officer for Pentara, a statistical consulting company focused on neurodegenerative diseases. Prior, she was was Chief of Staff to the CEO of Intermountain Health.

As an immigrant who fled communist Czechoslovakia when she was young, Katherina went on to fulfill her American Dream by graduating from Stanford University, earning both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computational Linguistics with a focus on AI. She also holds a certificate in Executive Leadership from Seattle University.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Katherina is a dedicated community leader. She earned her first board appointment in 9th grade when she convinced the local school district that they needed to have a student as one of their board members! She recently served as President of the Board of Catholic Community Services of Utah, and was a member of the Executive Board of Women’s Leadership Institute of Utah. She formerly served on the Utah State Building Board. She leads her church music group as guitarist and singer and enjoys gardening, cooking vegetarian food, and playing pickleball with her husband, Todd. They love to travel especially when it involves visiting one of their twin daughters one of whom lives with her husband in Seattle and the other in Amsterdam.
